Fresh, light, and green after winter. Think tender vegetables like asparagus, peas, spinach, spring onions, and early carrots. Fruits are limited but include rhubarb and strawberries toward late spring.

Abundant, colorful, and juicy. This is peak season for berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries), tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes, peppers, and stone fruits like peaches and plums.

Hearty and earthy as temperatures drop. Apples, pears, pumpkins, squash, mushrooms, and root vegetables (like carrots and parsnips) are common. Flavors become richer and more comforting.

Robust and storage-friendly. Produce includes cabbage, kale, leeks, potatoes, turnips, and other root vegetables. Citrus fruits like oranges and lemons are also at their best.
